Hanami at Umegaoka

Hey everyone!

Spring has arrived at OEK and our cherry blossom tree is looking more and more beautiful each day.

The staff has been taking every opportunity w
e can to sit outside underneath the tree. Ken's Thursday Mom and Toddler classes took some time to take some photos outside before and after their lessons.

Kym, a former OEK teacher came to join the lesson with her daughter Keina. Kym was with OEK from 1998 to 2001. She was very excited to visit Umegaoka for the first time, and to join Ken's class with her daughter.

Our garden is looking more and more gorgeous everyday, and we have Jayne to thank for that! She's been outside working on the garden whenever she's had a spare chance since arriving back in Japan a few weeks ago, and her efforts have paid off.

Next week is the start of OEK's new school term. There will be some class and teacher changes starting Monday, April 6. We're sad to see some of our students change teachers, but we're excited to welcome our classes and to get to know our new students. Next term will be a lot of fun!

Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
