It seemed like an unbelievably long winter but Spring is in the air and I couldn't be happier to welcome it! What a lovely way to start the season with gorgeous cherry blossoms. Last weekend, I went to Tokyo and celebrated my first hanami picnic of the year at a park in Nishi-Ogikubo. Sunday happened to be the perfect weather for such an occasion. Lucky us!!!
Unable to get enough, the next day I went to Funakoshi Park with the beautiful Ksenia and some of our friends. Another gorgeous day though the parking situation was a bit out of control!
As well, before the trees fully blossomed, I visited Sengen Shrine in Shizuoka with a few of my lovely adult students. If you are up for a hike up a few hundred stairs, what an amazing view of Shizuoka!
This picture is priceless. There were wild boars on the mountain and Kiyomi jumped up on the bench to protect herself. :) Hahaha!
For me, it seems that sakura time is just too short. Sadly, the cherry blossoms are slowly losing their petals and by next week only leaves will be left. We must wait another year for such a wonderful time.

こんにちは、みなさん。
信じられないくらい長い冬のように見えましたが、空気中に春が潜み、私は春を迎えるのが嬉しくてしかたありません！見事な桜と共に季節を始めるなんて、なんて素敵なことでしょう。先週末、東京に行き、西荻窪の公園で今年初のお花見を祝いました。日曜日はそのような行事を開くには最高の天気となりました。私たちってラッキーね!!!それでは十分じゃなくて、次の日もビューティフルなKseniaと友達何人かで船越公園へ行きました。駐車場の状況は少し制御できていなかったけれど、また素晴らしい日でした！また、木が満開になる前に、静岡の浅間神社に何人かのアダルトクラスの生徒と一緒に訪れました。数百段の階段を上がったなら、なんて素敵な静岡の景色でしょう！この写真はおもしろいです。山には野生のイノシシがいて、Kiyomiは自身を守るために、ベンチに飛び乗りました。あはは：）私にとって、桜の時期は本当に短すぎるように思います。悲しいことに、桜はゆっくりと花びらを失いつつあり、来週までに葉っぱだけが残るでしょう。この素晴らしい時期をまたもう1年待たなければなりません。
